What is FLYY?
The heavier sibling of FLRYY: thick-wall cores under a PVC sheath for exposed chassis and trailer runs, drawbar wiring and body-builder installations where the cable is clamped, bent around edges or exposed to stone chipping.
How to choose the cross-section
Select the conductor cross-section on the current of the circuit and the cable length: 0.35–1.0 mm² for signals and sensors, 1.5–2.5 mm² for lighting and most control circuits, 4.0–6.0 mm² for high-load consumers, and 10 mm² and above for supply, battery and earth leads. When in doubt, go one size up — voltage drop on 24 V trailers is a common cause of lighting faults.
